Our Ranch

We started with a dream and 2 mares in 1995. A year later the purchase of 21 acres...became a small Appaloosa Horse Ranch in its beginning phases, we now call; Buzzards Roost Paloose.

For the love of the "spotted" horse once started by the Nez Perce Indians; our goal is to carry on the same quality of breeding, raising and showing of the Paloose horse. We are a small horse ranch operation located in Southcentral Kansas. Since 1995, we have added a few more mares thru breeding, purchases and good fortune. To this mix, we added the Stallions; "C.L. Scooter", "Bit O Thunder" and "Buzzards Ledge". With these additions; we looked forward to the prospects of bringing forth good quality, colored and well-muscled babies with good dispositions that will show in halter and perform in riding events.

In 2008, we now only stand one stallion; CL Scooter. With the unfortunate failing economy and our work schedules we have been limited to cutting back our herd and its prospects. We still have quality stock for sale at all times and someday we'll start to add again to this wonderful breed The Appaloosa.
